I mean in the 90's it was more exciting because back then a whole lot of kids were actually playing outside than now, no matter what kind of weather it was. Parents back then loved buying presents for their children that was more outdoor related. Now we're in a generation where kids rot their brain indoors like going on the inter-web and video games and shit like that. IDK if it's me having a mind frame of maturing out of the Christmas spirit or kids need to get there lazy and ungrateful asses outside. I VOTE FOR NUMBER 2! lol
